I am new to excel and I need to modify the sum of price to determine the average issue price and average estimated market value by type. I am not sure how to do this. I posted a picture below showing what I am doing. Thanks for reading.

Try AVERAGE, AVERAGEIF or AVERAGEIFS functions.
