Hi Logit,

Sorry I've not come back any earlier but had a lot on my plate etc.....

Anyway, thanks for getting back, unfortunately the solutions offered not only highlight the row and column headings associated with the particular cell they also highlight the entire row and column.

What I'm looking for is highlighting JUST the headings, for instance, cell C4 is selected, now I want the 'C' to be yellow say and the '4' also be yellow. Is that possible.

I'm using Office 365 - Excel 2016
