I have a problem . We are using an Excel addin (on
that was supplied by the vendor of DCS (distributed control system)
software that we are using. The purpose of the addin
is to allow the exchange of data between the DCS and another workstation.


When a write request is initiated the addin starts a background process
called . This is the process that handles communication with the
DCS program. This used to work, but now when i open the excel add-in. a message error appears
....add-in error
general access denied error.could not complete initialization.could not connect to....excel server.

please how can I solve this problem

please be aware that this forum is manned by volunteers helping on their spare time. Which means it might take some time before someone provides a solution.
On free forums it is customary to wait about one day before "bumping".
Of course if you really are in a hurry you can always contact commercial sites.
But why do you not contact the author/vendor of the add-in?
