Linking Excel file under OSX
I have the same problem trying to link to a simple text file in EXCEL 2016 under OSX.
The files are all set to open with specific programs upon doubleclick. If it were a webpage, I would have to set the correct mime type on the server, and associate the mimetype with the program in the browser. How is this done in EXCEL? (Or does such an option need to be added to the preference pane by the developers?) Edit Mod : this post is related to https://www.msofficeforums.com/excel...-clicking.html Last edited by Pecoflyer; 03-02-2017 at 08:16 AM. Reason: Add link |

Hi
Please, do not post a question in the thread of another member -- start your own thread. If you feel an existing thread is particularly relevant to your need, provide a link to the other thread in your new thread. Old threads are often only monitored by the original participants. New threads not only open you up to all possible participants again, they typically get faster response, too.
