We have some Excel files with ActiveX components on the spreadsheet to activate Macros. They worked well until the last windows update. The same file works in PCs that aren't update yet. HELP! |

Hi Guys,
I believe I may have narrowed it down to the patch KB2596927. The details are here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl....aspx?id=45206 I removed the patch in Control Panel, Programs, Uninstall, View Installed Updates on the left. I've only tried it on one affected PC so far but it's working in Excel now with the ActiveX controls. |

I have managed a temporary fix by using System Restore to take my PC back to yesterday, before I installed the latest updates. Need to find out which one caused the problem, could well be the one mentioned in the post above.
