The error code wasn't for size, but for file type, but I didn't think of zip to "fool " it. Here are two pictures zipped. I much appreciate your efforts.

I have managed to find an application that opens .mix files. Follow the link below to download a trial edition to test:

The application is called "Microsoft Digital Image Starter Edition 2006 Editor".
I have downloaded and tested it and it works for me.
