What you can do change the 'layout' of your scanned image to 'behind text, then overlay it with a borderless Word table, whose cell layout you adjust to suit your form's structure. You can then type into any cell and the words will appear to be in the fields in your form. For an example of this, see the attachment to my first post in this thread: https://www.msofficeforums.com/word/...-can-i-do.html The document attached to my post has formfields in the table cells, but you don't have to do it that way - you can have the table cells without the formfields.
