Hi there,
I was trying to create a table with a column that has a gauge image (could be a semi circle or a rectangle with gradient color from one end to another) in each cell. They should be locked/anchored to the cell and not movable. Then I want to add a movable pointer (could be a line or a triangle shape) that can be moved along the gauge measures. The only place I could think of is "review-restrict editing" but I have not been able to find a solution. Has anyone done this before? Could you please share your thoughts? Thanks, Rita |

You don't need editing restrictions to deploy such gauges and pointers.
The real issue will be in controlling where the pointer can be moved to. On their own, editing restrictions won't help with that. You would probably need to use something like a content control in an adjoining cell that runs a ContentControlOnExit macro when exited (perhaps after you've input a percentage figure).

I had a play with this and came up with a couple of solutions. As a proof of concept, I've attached a simple demo where you make a selection from a dropdown CC and when you move out of the CC, the arrow rotates according to your selection. The same thing could be done with either setting visibility or resizing a shape.
