Default Embedding image in Word 365

I'm using Office 365 Word. When I create a document and insert an .jpg image (a screenshot) the options are insert, link to file, and insert & link. If chose the default, Insert, and save the file, it creates a subfolder of the folder I save to and puts the images in it.. image001.jpg, image001.jpg, etc. To me, that means it's inserting a LINK to the image, not the image itself. The problem is when I upload the html file to a website it opens with just an icon meaning it can't find the linked file.

I recall having gone through this with earlier versions of Word, and finding a way to force Word to actually embed the file. So far, I've not been able to figure out how to do this with 365.

Any suggestions?

TIA,

Ed
