Default Pasting Paint images into Word changed...

...and not for the better.

I've used Paint to edit screenshots for years and years. Within the past few weeks things changed - probably a software update. If I can't turn this off, I need to switch to something else.

I used to be able to take a screen print, paste into Paint, and then crop the image and paste it back into Word. If I didn't save it, the image was editable within Word - right-click and you can set the image to wrap text however you want, etc. Give it borders. There was a whole right-click menu I relied on.

Now you don't have the same right-click options, and if you click the image, it opens it up in Paint as a .bmp.

This is NOT how I want to work with images. Is there a switch somewhere that I can turn off so I can go back to the way things were?

Thanks

Default Don't paste as paint object

Good evening,
Please verify when you paste your image that you paste it as metafile picture and not as Image PaintBrush Object.

Regards

Patrice

That really has nothing to do with the OP's problem, since the wrap formatting of metafile pictures and PaintBrush objects can both be changed - and nothing in Word 2010 has changed in that regard. If anything, the OP's Office installation might have needed repairing.

Please also don't resurrect old threads. It's unlikely the issue is still 'live' so long after it was raised.
