It could possibly be to do with the dpi of the image!
At the end of the day, if you right-click and choose Properties > Size - you should be able to resize it to the correct size as needed. |

Hmm. Thanks for your suggestion Bird_FAT, but I have looked at that already, and it does not seem entirely significant, as the same sort of results occur if one repeats the entire process using an original image created with a different dpi.
I agree, one can change the size using properties, but it's an enormous waste of time if one is importing say 20 images all of identical pixel size, and then have to go through each one fiddling about with the sizes until they all match up again. In my book, it ought to work first time every time. R. |

To make it easier for you though - If you were to make a macro to: -Search by graphic (Alt+Ctrl+Home and choose 'Browse by Graphic') -Resize -Deselect Graphic (move AFTER the graphic) You could then add a loop in the code to get it to do the same to all the images in the 'Book'? |

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not really a macro man, but I appreciate the logic.
Yes, there's a lot of odd things in WORD. I was surprised that this one wasnt more widely documented. R. |

The macro would be easy to create/ edit - just ask here if you want one of us to do it for you! Always pleased to help.

That's really kind. The job in question is now finished, but if the need re-occurs, I've put your reply on file & will get back to you.
