In the attached sample I want to populate cell D1 with the number 1 if cell A4 is yellow.



Is this possible without VBA?

I'm afraid there is no non VBA solution for this question. You will need a UDF

you can try conditional formatting,it will get what you want

it's not work , I thought you want fill cell A4 yellow ,if cell D1 is number 1
