how to delete table without losing space
Hi guys, I want to delete a table but does not want to lose the space it used up, i.e. whenever i delete the table (using right click> delete table), the table deletes and the text below it comes up.
What i want is that the text below it should remain unchanged after deletion, so that none of headings below get messed up! I forgot there used to be some keyboard shortcuts to perform this task. I am using Word 2010, kindly help... |

In word processing, text reflow is the normal behavior as you add or remove text; no static "pages" are created.
In what way do the headings get "messed up" if you delete the table? There might be other means by which this can be taken care of.

Actually, I am working on a document that requires pre-defined headings on each page. So for e.g. if i delete a table that uses up pages 32-34, heading on page 35 will come up after table deletion. Is there any way to keep the heading fixed at page 35 until i add a new table on pages 32-34?

I guess you could leave the table in place and just delete its contents. Of course, you would also have to specify fixed row heights so that the table occupies the same space as it did with content in it.
