alt+numeric doesn't work
Hi!
Using alt+numeric keys to get characters like æ (alt+145) or Ω (alt+234) has stopped working. I've gone into the control panel of Windows and made sure that the "extend support of extended text services to all programs" is checked (under Regional and Language Options -> Languages -> Details -> Advanced.) I also ran the System File Checker. Still no alt+numeric functionality I found that it's only in MS Word it doesn't work. (I tried it in MS Notepad and in Open Office, works fine.) Is there, simply, a setting in Word that controls this? |

You may have to enable NUMLOCK on your keyboard for this to work. Also, you should use four-digit numbers. For example: Alt+0230 inserts æ.

OK!
Yep, numlock it was.
Thanks! (or should I say "tack så mycket"?) Why are there two alternative numbers (for example both alt+145 and alt+0230 for æ)? /Kungen |

For me, Alt+145 doesn't insert æ. I was taught always to use a four-digit sequence when inserting characters from the ASCII or ANSI character set.
Tack så mycket fungerar väl alldeles utmärkt! Vänliga hälsningar Stefan
