Auto-numbering non co-located Requirements in a document
Hi,
I`m witing a requirement document and I need to auto-number my requirements. However these are not necessarily located in the same paragraph or section. I may have a few hundred requirements in my document and being able to auto-number them is paramount. If I remove one it must have the capability to re-number everything. Note that all section and sub-sections are also numbered and the requirement must not follow the numbering of those sections. How would you proceed? Macro??

You can create a single-level numbered style that you apply to the relevant paragraphs. The built-in List Number style can be used as a basis. Or you can make use of SEQ fields.
