Default All about tab stops...

For "everything" on tab stops in Word, see http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/SettingTabs.htm.

However It's turning out like this:

It seems you have the first tab as a left tab instead of a right tab and the second tab as a right tab instead of a left.

However, if the numbers are all equal and the same size and font it wouldn’t really make that much difference on the second tab. If you look at your second line there is no second space in the numbering as there are in the other lines.

If you find the tab space between the names and numbers not enough then just drag it to the desired position.

Well i followed those instructions carefully and this is what i ended up with:

For some reason the dots wouldn't show, even though dot leader was on...

Using these settings:

And the dot leader....

Any ideas?

Thanks.

From your screen prints of the dialog boxes I can nothing wrong. But you result is showing what looks like a left tab then a right tab, however, have you actually tabbed at the beginning?

Think it would be better to look at your document to resolve this issue.

I'll have to agree with Julie on this one: it would be easier to tell exactly what's the problem if you posted an actual Word document.

The problem was that i had centered the entire list in the center of the page. All i needed to do was tab before it. Thankyou very much for your help (:

Indeed, as you have noticed, alignment must be applied to the tab stops, while the paragraph alignment should be set to "Left."

Thank you for the follow-up.
