Complex Find and Replace
Hi,
I regularly have to replace text. Normally, I would use the "Find and Replace" function, but I don't know how (or if it's possible) to use variables, wildcards etc. Here's an example of what I need to do: Original text: 7. The paragraph according to version 1, wherein the device... New next: In a section, the device... I'm therefore trying to replace "[number].[tab]The paragraph according to version [number], wherein" with "In a section," Can anyone help? Many thanks in advance, Paul |

Hi Paul,
You can do this with a wildcard Find/Replace, where: Find = [0-9]{1,}.^tThe paragraph according to version [0-9]{1,} Replace = In a section
