I'm creating a program handout and would like the text aligned on both sides...
For example, below is how it will be formatted, and will be centered aligned (or which ever works best): Title.......................................Name Title.......................................Name Title.......................................Name Is there a way to perfectly align both the left and right sides of each line? I thought centering all the text would do it, but that doesn't seem to be the case. In my example above, everything is aligned perfectly on both sides, because the words are the same. But when using different words for each line, the perfect alignment gets messed up. Last edited by Foppa; 10-16-2011 at 11:05 PM. Reason: Clarified Word Version |

Am assuming you mean
Title of something ............................. Name of Someone Title .................................................. .............. Name If so use Tabs, Left for the first phrase, right for the second phrase. |

I'm not sure what you mean exactly. The "Tab" key on the keyboard?

Hmm, I'm still missing something. I'm not understanding how to do it.
I see what you mean now with using Tabs, but the all the periods (".................") are throwing me off. Any advice for when using those? Also, should I have it left aligned or centered aligned? |

First tab left, second tab right. The .......... is a tab leader which is set in the dialogue box for the tabs, double click the tab you have set to bring this up or select the Page Layout Tab in the ribbon, choose the paragraph group. Click the small arrow in the right hand bottom corner.
Under line and page break tab, choose tabs button and set your tabs from there. First tab left and whatever position you choose, second tab right, leader (for the dots option 2 - if you need them) |

Foppa, to align text at both the left and right-hand margins...From the STYLES drop-down menu:
1: Select the Style you are using - Right-click & select MODIFY 2: From the MODIFY STYLE menu - Click on FORMAT and select TABS 3: From the TABS menu - Set your right-hand margin (i.e., 6.5") - Under "Alignment" select RIGHT - Under "Leader" make your selection for your leader to the right-hand side - Click on SET and select OK 4: On the MODIFY menu, select OK Enter you text from the left-hand margin and TAB to enter your text on the right-hand margin. |
