Default How to print three pages per sheet

Hi,

I have created a "With Compliments" slip design that is the same width but one third the height of A4. I would like to print three copies of this page onto one sheet of A4.

Since I'd like to use this technique for other things, I don't want a work-around (such as make an A4 sheet with three copies of the page content on it).

Does Word allow different pages sizes vs printer paper sizes? My trial and error suggests not. Maybe the answer will be to create the single page and then create an appropriate label size (three labels per sheet) and print three copies per sheet? That would be fine but I can't see how to do that myself. Maybe someone who knows Word better than I do can show me how to do this?

I have Word 2010 on Windows 7.

All suggestions gratefully heard.

Martin

Create a 3 row, 1 column table. Set the top and bottom page margins to the minimum your printer will allow. Centre the table vertically on the page. Go into the table properties and set the row height to a fixed value. It will be about 8.9 cm (you will need to experiment with this) . Also in the table properties, you can hide the borders if you wish.

Alternatively, open a new document and search for "with compliments" in the Microsoft templates library.

Cheers,

Thanks for the suggestion. My only real objection to your suggestion is that the layout must be copied to the other table cells each time I make a change. Not a big effort, agreed, but I really want a nice, clean, single design that I can create on a page of the right dimensions and then print on paper. I'm fussy, I know.

For now I have designed a label template of that size and then I can print the label on a sheet, just by saying I want three copies. It did have a very annoying "<<next record>>" also printed on the sheet, but that now appears to have gone away. This, in my mind, is a slightly more elegant answer.

If I find a perfect answer, I'll add it here.

Thanks for the suggestion though.
