For a report I am required to use the x of y numbering for pages. I have a title page, which is in its own section, and section 2 is my actual report. When I use x of y numbering the first page in section 2 is number as 'Page 1 of 2', but I would like the total number of pages to just be from section 2 (so it would be 'Page 1 of 1').
Any help appreciated. |

What you could do is insert a normal page number and hard code around it with the number of pages in the section. "Page x of 15".

Assuming that the sections are actual Word sections, created with section breaks, you can replace the "Y" part in "Page X of Y" with a SECTIONPAGES field. You can insert the field via Insert | Quick Parts | Field.

Thanks for the advice. I went for the SECTIONPAGES option and it worked like a charm.
