Default Adding Spell Check Suggestions

Hi,

I am working with a scanned documents that have been processed by an OCR utility to turn the images into text.

The OCR makes consistent mistakes, such as "Internet" come through as "Intemet". Word 2010's suggestions do not include Internet.

I've added "Intemet" as an autocorrect entry but that doesn't seem to work because I'm not typing the mistake.

I can do a 'find and replace' but a) I'm working with many different documents and b) there are a number of these consistent errors.

Questions on possible solutions:
  1. Is there a way to manually add a misspelling and suggestion?
  2. Can autocorrect work when I'm not typing the mistake?
  3. Is there a way to easily store and load 'find & replace' settings (pairs and formatting)?
  4. Any other ways of dealing with this?

Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
EFS
