Default Tricky Word problems

I have a few questions I was hoping someone out there could help me with.

1. Is it possibile to do a "section break odd page" where the blank page (if there is one) has footer and header?

2. Why can I not change "section break odd page" to "section break even page"? I have landscape in section 1 and portrait in section two and due to this problem, there is a blank page between the two sections.

3. Why are the headers between two sections linked even when I have ticked off "same as previous"?

Thanks a lot for your help.
Eva

1. Only if you use a field construct. I don't know if this works the same in MacWord, but for WinWord you'll find the instructions here: http://word.mvps.org/faqs/tblsfldsfm...nPgEndChap.htm.

2. You can change the type of section in the Page Setup dialog box. If this doesn't work, that is, if the type of section reverts to next page, it's likely to be a limitation with the printer driver. In particular, if you are printing duplex, the printer may not support printing landscape orientation on the back of a portrait page.

3. Each type of header (first page, even page, odd page) and each type of footer must be separately unlinked from its "neighbor" in the preceding section. Whether you have more than one type of header (footer) is determined by the "Different first page" and "Different odd and even" options in the Page Setup dialog box.

An alternative field construction is:
{IF{=MOD({PAGE},2)}= 0 {QUOTE 12}}
This will insert a blank last page if the existing last page is even-numbered. Change the 0 to 1 for the converse.

Note: You should put the field into the body of the document, not the header or footer, as the final paragraph before a normal 'next page' Section break. Also, the field brace pairs (ie '{ }') for the above example are created via Ctrl-F9 - you can't simply type them or copy & paste them from this message.
