Default How Do I Tab?

I am trying to indent one line of text but, multiple lines shift right. What do I do to fix? Thank you.

Go to the Paragraph Group on the Home Tab, click the small grey arrowed box in the right hand bottom corner which will show the Paragraph dialog box. Under Indent Group|Special choose first line.

Or just drag the First Line Indent indicator on the horizontal ruler.

If you make use of indentation a lot, it's a good idea to add this formatting to the paragraph style you are using.
