HI.
I have to write reports for my work in Word 2003. The expected format is like this... Title. 1.0 Title 1.1 Blah 1.2 Blah 1.3 Blah... 2.0 Title 2.1 3.0 Title ...and so on. Of course Words auto mumbering system doesn't do this. Sometimes it tries to indent, sometimes I end up with 1.1.1, sometimes it won't do anything. Is there a way to change the default layout of this numbering system for a report template? Thanks very much. |

you can work around it by defining your paragraph text as heading two, but removing all the heading type formatting.
that will only work as long as your headings never differ from the format you describe (that is, you can't then have a X.X level heading). s |
