Default How to get rid of Tracking and Comments

I was unable to scroll down to get to the Word discussions so I hope it is ok to ask this here.

I recently had a document edited and the person used the tracking and comments functions. I'd like to get rid of all the underlines and comments and can't seem to make them disappear. Any suggestions?

Hi
Open your document and enter Ctrl+A, this will select all text in your document. Then click on the "Review" menu at the top of the screen. Then on the toolbar select "Accept". You will then have the option of accepting all changes in your document.

You also have the option of just hiding the changes.

Good luck.

I did something to hide the "track changes" marks but now I'd like to see them again.
Any idea on how I can unhide these? Apparently, they are still there because when the document is viewed by others, they show up.

If you make the 'Track Changes' toolbar visible (eg via Tools|Track Changes), you should be able to see/change whatever option you used to hide them. You might need to change from 'Final' to 'Final Showing Markup' and/or by changing one of the options under 'Show'.
