Your answer is not the solution to my problem Look at the first, fourth and last page in the footer In the FOOTER on the first page should be page number 1 / 15, on page four should be the number of page 4 / 15 on the last page should be page number 15 / 15 Please, can You create a new Word document with 3 sections, 15 pages and numbering from the beginning. Please do not let you use my template The HEADER should be the number the Page / Total pages in Sections The FOOTER should be numbering Page / Total Pages in document I can create a header, but when I create the footer I have a problem with Header, because are setting the header footer annul EXAMPLE: I have 3 section and 15 total pages (3+2+10=15 pages). Unlink headers and footers of each section (as has already been suggested). For each section, set page numbering to restart from 1.
In the section 1 header or footer, insert a SET field as follows: { SET section1count { SECTIONPAGES } } In section 2, insert the corresponding field construct: { SET section2count { SECTIONPAGES } } And similarly for each subsequent section. Use Ctrl+F9 to insert each pair of field delimiters, { }, and type the code as shown. Press F9 to update. Alt+F9 shows/hides field codes. To calculate total page numbers in each section, you'll need fields as follows: Section 1: { PAGE } of { NUMPAGES } Section 2: { = { PAGE } + { section1count } } of { NUMPAGES } Section 3: { = { PAGE } + { section1count } + { section2count } } of { NUMPAGES } If the number of pages changes, you can update the fields by switching to Print Preview and then back to your current view (Ctrl+F2 followed by ESC).

Where the syntax error occurs you have inadvertently placed the "of { NUMPAGES }" part inside the preceding field code. Just redisplay field codes and move it out. Then update the fields with F9.
