Question How to have "number styles" in other languages?

How to have "number styles" in other languages?



please, see the attached image that shows my question

in Word, we could have the styles:

one, two, three, four, ....
First, second, third, .....

how to have such numbering for other languages such as French and Arabic?

The "One, Two, Three" number format will use the words in the language applied to text. So you would simply change the proofing language of the numbered style.

Thank you for the answer Stefan.

For example, i set the proofing language to be French but the number style language didn't work, it remains English (ATTACHED)!

what might be the problem? how to set it correctly?

Do you have proofing tools installed for the language you are trying to apply? It should work even if you don't, but it's worth investigating.

sure. i do have the proofing tools for the french language (see the attached images please), nevertheless, i don't have the style numbers!

how to solve this problem? how to have the style numbers in french?

OK, when looking at the images I can certainly see the check mark next to French. How did you apply numbering? Did you modify the numbered paragraph style or did you apply the language directly to the selection?

Just i followed your notes! I made the default language to be french then i applied the style numbers. the result was in french language!
