(again): What is the effect of proofing tools on languages on Microsoft Word?
In my case, Arabic and German are both not installed; this is why I couldn’t check spelling or grammer and translation! One more confusing issue! “Number Style” language! Although the proofing tools of German language is not installed, I could obtain the “Number style” in German while I couldn’t do the same in Arabic!!!!! Should I get the proofing tools installed to have the “Number style” in certain language? Why I still could get the “Number style” in some languages while their proofing tools are not installed (like German, Romanian, ….)????!!!!! What might be behind such strange behavior? How to decide the language of the “Number style” then? Regards Jamal |

I suspect that Arabic, at least on an English language word installation, would require a more complex installation (additional fonts etc.), which is why you can't use it (for ordinal or cardinal numbers) without installing it completely first.
