Problem with field in header
Hello to everyone.
I'm having a problem with a document header. As we all now, Word does not allow to enter Form Fields in Headers so what i did was to use a Ref field. For this i had to enter the form field in the document body. For the form field not to appear in the body i set it's font color to nothing. My problem is that when i do this, the Ref field also changes it's color to nothing and does not appear in the header. Does anyone know a way of keeping the Ref field font color when changing the Form field font color? Thanks in advance for any kind help. Octavio |

Why do you need the form field to be in the header?
If your goal is to have the field display on multiple pages, there is an alternative approach. Place the field in the body of the document, apply a unique style to it, and then reference the field in the header by inserting a STYLEREF field. On the other hand, if you just want the field to look like it is in the header area, place it in a frame (use the Insert Frame command on the Developer tab), anchored to a body text paragraph, and then position the frame "on top of" the header area. |
