Default spelling and grammar check question

I was wondering if anyone can tell why microsoft word grammar checker will not tell me if I am missing a comma that is required. or pick up the wrong use of a word such as there their and they're. Is I can make it tell me these things??

Microsoft Office button > Word Options > Proofing
When checking Spelling and Grammer in Word...
There are some checkboxes, and a button: Settings

>>this in Word 2010, but is likely the same in 2007
