creating tables for row of figures and captions
I'm putting together a Word document that contains quite a few graphics and figures. On one line, I'm trying to put three figures in a row from left to right. It would be extremely convenient if I could arrange them in a table so that the captions underneath each image (i.e. Figure 3a..., Figure 3b...) align neatly in vertical columns and don't stray outside those columns (right now they're bleeding into each other's space). But I'd only want to do this if I can make the outline/borders of the table invisible. Can I do this? |

No problem
Insert your table, adjust columns if necessary, and select the table. Right click, select "Autofit", and choose Fixed column width. Insert your image in cell one, make sure the cursor is at right of image and hit enter to create a new line for your caption. Type or paste it in. Repeat.
You may wish to save a copy of the empty table to paste in for new instances. Best, Ulodesk |
