Replace with nothing. But be careful. Don't put a carriage return in there. I recently edited a massive document, 200,000 words, and decided to change the number of spaces after a period (question mark, quotation marks too) from two spaces to one space. Just did a search and replace. 19,000 replacements, no problem.
