Deleting a footnote does not give renumbering of all those following. Windows 7 64-bit, Office 2007

Footnotes problem

Further exploration; complete fresh start finds no problem - Word must have lost it at some point.

Did you delete the footnote or the mark? Did you select the document and then press the F9 key to update?
