my question is: is it possible to highlight everything in the parenethesis without doing it one by one?

Donna,

What I wrote is a vba procedure that a) Finds text in the format "(some text)" and b) applies highlight to the text found. How you install and use the vba procedure is covered in the link I provided to you.

You could also do this by using the built-in find and replace utility but the vba procedure is faster and prefectly safe.
