Text form field loses formatting in Word 2010
I'm having a problem with Text Form Field Options Number format not carrying over from a template to a document instance.
I created performance evaluation templates in Word 2010 with editing form filling restrictions protection. There are two sections of multiple ratings fields that are summed and averaged. The results of each section must be expressed out two decimals. The two sections are then weight-averaged and again, expressed out two decimal places. In the Text Form Field Options I specify the Number format properties as 0.00 (two decimal places) for the two section summaries and final score. When I open a document instance from the template, the Number format is still present. However, after saving as a .docx (maintaining comparability with previous versions or not) and re-opening the docx, the Number format property (0.00) has disappeared. The field results are displayed with only one decimal place. This seems to be a known problem, as I've seen similar questions, but no real answers. Appreciate any help.
