Default Word 2010 How to use both portrait & Landscape in one document

Before Word 2010 it was possible to use both orientations in one document by selecting - From this point - or similar instructions.
In W 2010 it seems to be either portrait or landscape for the whole document only. Is there any way to combine the two? Any help welcomed please.

Default use section breaks

Just insert a section break (Insert: Break: Section Break [Next Page]), and then make sure that when you change the page orientation you choose "this section," not "whole document," from the Apply To options.

Default One more thing

If you are running headers and/or footers, they will maintain their width for the portrait page when you shift to landscape. If this is not what you want, you must first open the header/footer in the section you wish to change, and, if it says, "Same as previous," find the "Link to previous" button in the Header/Footer "extra ribbon" and click on it to remove the link.

For instance, say you are inserting two landscape page in a portrait doc.
Open the hdr/ftr in the landscape section and unlink. Do the same in the following section. Then you can make the change to tabs or margins in the landscape section without affecting the sections before and after.

Best,
Ulodesk

Many Thanks both for your replies. I have tried your methods unsuccessfully.
I have no choice relating to 'this section only' etc. This version just gives 'portrait / landscape' with no choices, unlike the previous version of Word.

Has anyone using Word 2010 in Windows 7 64bit had the same experience and solved it please?

Default Sections

While I don't have 2010 and can't find anyone in the office today who does, I think you must be mistaken, since your reply indicates that Word no longer allows sections. Where did you look to implement a next page section break? Are you sure you didn't insert a page break by mistake, or some other kind of section break?

Many thanks for your patience folks and thanks for pushing me to look further. The 'more intuitive Word 2010' has an 'insert' button which brings up just 'page break'. It is the 'page layout button' that brings up a selection of 'breaks', including 'page', 'next page' etc. I had to switch on the formatting symbol to see where I was going, but at last I have my document with both formats in it. Thanks again.
