Default Adding change markings

I want to add vertical change bars to a document that has already been changed. Is there a way to mark text as changed so that the change markings will be displayed or do I have to delete the change, turn track changes on, and then redo the change (hope not)?

I'm using Word 2003.

Thanks

Hi Yossi,

To track a change, Change Tracking must be activated beforehand; there is no way to mark it afterwards. If it's simply a matter of tracking added text, cut the text, turn Change Tracking on, the paste the content back in.

Ok, I've recorded a quickie macro to do it. Here it is if anyone's interested. for convenience I assigned a keyboard shortcut to invoke this macro.

Sub MarkAsChanged()
'
Selection.Cut
ActiveDocument.TrackRevisions = Not ActiveDocument.TrackRevisions
Selection.Paste
ActiveDocument.TrackRevisions = Not ActiveDocument.TrackRevisions
End Sub
