Default Gray square brackets

Hi,

I just received ms word file, which contains gray square brackets. I thought that this is due to bookmarks, but it turned out that in options "show bookmarks" checkbox is unchecked. I think I tried out everything, but I can't make those gray brackets disappear... those brackets also get printed and it seems that I can't delete them...

Does anybody know how to get rid of those brackets?

hi waldux,

Formfields, perhaps? What do you see if you press Alt-F9?

Are any bookmarks listed under Insert|Bookmark?

there were two bookmarks and one hidden bookmark, but when I pressed "Go to", I was directed to the different place of the document, which means that those bookmarks are not related to these gray brackets... just in case I deleted those bookmarks, but those brackets were still active...

RebelSoul was able to solve this issue for me. I started a new thread on word tables. ALT F9 didn't work for me. Thanks for your help

Glad to hear you got it sorted.

For future reference, though, please don't post questions about the same issue in multiple places.
