Search features (read: Can MSWord do that?)
I've got a 1500+ page document and I need to know if there are any pages that begin or end with a double paragraph mark (^p^p). I want to insert a separator line to avoid any confusion when reading. Is there a way to search a specific line number, on every page, for a specific character or word? Also, when the document converted into Word, it removed the space after all italic words. For example: "I had a reallyhard time." Is there a way to search for italic characters NOT followed by a space? I've been using spell check to find these, but I'd like to focus on this issue instead of spell-checking the whole 1500 page document. |

Hi Bobosmite,
Word's Find function will only help with that where the double paragraph breaks (which represents poor design, IMHO) follows a page break or Section break. Finding double paragraph breaks, per se, is quite easy though. Using vba, you can loop though the pages and test for the first n characters on each page and, do something according to what is found.
