Disappearing comment bubbles
Hi,
I'm trying to annotate a word document with lots of comment bubbles. Every now and again, in a particular section of my word document, the word bubbles I'm writing in disappear and I can't make them reappear unless I change the settings from "original with markup" to "original" and back again, then they briefly reappear until I start trying to type in the comment bubbles again. They are definitely still there and I can type in them, they just aren't visible on the screen. The marks indicating a comment has been inserted are there and I can see the text in the comment bubble if I have the editing panel open at the bottom of the word document, but the bubbles themselves don't show up on the side of the word document as they usually do. I've checked all my settings in the review section and tried changing the view of my word document, some things help temporarily but not permanently. Any ideas why this is happening? I've noticed it tends to be next to a section in which there is an image. Thanks! |

Hi, ikklejaneo. I don't know the Mac and don't know if this might be a related glitch. However, if the document you're working on is very large with many pages and graphics, I wonder if perhaps it's just taking a very long time to rewrite when you scroll or move to another page. I've had similar issues on occasion, sometimes requiring scrolling up or down past the immediate problem area and back, allowing Word to redraw.
