heading/paragraph justification issue
I am having an issue in word 2007 that i cant seem to fix.
I have a document that has numerous heading and paragraphs. I want the heading for the section centered on the page but the following paragraph justified to the left. The problem is if i highlight either the heading or the paragraph and change the justification , it affects the other as well. it makes no difference how many spaces i put between , each heading/paragraph affect the other when changed. Im stumped. Thanks for any ideas Last edited by Brando; 07-10-2011 at 01:47 PM. |

Hi brando,
It sounds as if your're not using a heading Style for the heading or, if you are, the rest of your document is using the same Style and, whichever approach you're using, everything is based on a Style whose underlying attribute is set to 'automatically update'. That means any change to the paragraph formatting for that Style affects all text based on the same Style.
