editing of images, tables and captions in the whole document.

what genius ideas might solve the issue of:

- table division between pages (image 1)
- spaces due to images (image 2)
- caption in the second page (image 3)

Hi Jamal,

The table issue can be solved by either:
1. changing the table layout to 'around'; or
2. formatting the first cell's paragraph's as 'keep with next'.

The gap at the bottom of the page can be solved by either:
1. moving some text on the first page so that it's after the image;
2. moving some text on the second page so that it's before the image; or
3. making the image smaller.

The problem with the caption not being on the same page as the image can be solved by:
1. formatting the image as 'in-line with text' and formatting its paragraph as 'keept with next'; or
2. putting both the image and its caption in a table cell (table formatted as 'around' or row formatted as 'allow row to break across pages' UNchecked) or textbox.

Thank you Paul. Really quite genius methods to avoid these problems in laying out the whole document. The presentation of the work has great influence the same way as the content.

Do you recommend to have the first cell's paragraph's to to have its own style? but not the style of the whole table (to control the whole work by styles rather than by paragraphs)

regards

Jamal

If they're column headings, and are formatted differently from the rest of the table, then yes.
