How to control the space above and under the footnote?
How to control the space above and under the footnote?
please, see the attached images that shows my question i don't now why i have space just above the Footer of the page and below the line of the Footnote????? how to control this space? how to make this space = zero? regards Jamal

Hi Jamal,
Check your page layout. Also, it appears you have an empty paragraph under the footnote separator.

Hi Jamal,
See attached. I've deleted the extra line after the footnote separator & footnote continuation separator and before the footnote continuation notice (you need to use draft view to access those features). I also reduced the bottom margin to 0.5cm.

Hi Jamal,
In Draft view, click on any footnote reference in the body of the document. You will get a split window. In the split is the dropdown box for modifying the footnote separator, etc.

Hi Jamal,
You can further reduce the space by formatting the 'Footnote continuation notice' paragraph as 1pt size and its font as hidden. This assumes, though, that your 'Footnote continuation notice' paragraph isn't actually being used (ie you don't have text like "continued next page" there).
