Default Help With Contracts Formats!!

We have vendor contracts to send out to over fifty clients. The contracts are all in Tahoma but when someone changes the font to calibri or anything else, it alters the margins and everything and we spend hours re-formatting the whole mess.

Is there an easier, less time-consuming way to do this?

Hi SJM,

You could protect the document against such changes via formatting restrictions. See Word's help file for details.

Yes but unfortunately, people want to be able to change the fonts and when they do, it changes all the formatting. Is there no easy fix when someone does this? We are spending so much time with editing and everyone is starting to lose it.

Hi SJM,

If you apply the formatting restrictions correctly, the users cannot change the fonts for the Styles concerned..

How do I apply said restrictions?

Also, what is they have to be able to chnage the fonts? Isn't there still a way to change fonts or to change formats without spending so much time on it?

Hi SJM,

Click on Developer|Protection. The protection panel should appear. Click on 'limit formatting to a selection of Styles', then 'Settings'. Make sure the Styles you want to limit the users to are checked, then click 'OK'. You'll get a message box asking what to do about other Styles & formatting. Make a choice then click on 'Start Enforcing Protection'. Input a password and you're done.
