Why the "table of contents" doesn't take the same format of the "headings"?
Why the "table of contents" doesn't take the same format of the "headings"?
please, see the attached image that shows my question explanation: The numbering of the heading is "Red", but why it is appear black in the table of contents? how to set the "table of contents" to take the same format of the heading? thank you regards Jamal

If you right click on your TOC, click Edit Field, under the Field Names scroll bar select TOC if it isn't already selected, click Table of Contents button under Field Properties under General and Formats, what does it say?

This is all accomplished within the "styles" settings. If you have a "Heading [1-9]" style set to use colored numbers you must do the same for the associated "TOC [1-9]" style if you want the Table of Contents to reflect the same color as within the text/body of the document. I am not certain if this is the only way to do it but, I just tried it out and it worked for me.

That is a way of manually doing it, but it should do it automatically, I got my TOC to show red just by selecting the number and turning it red, but sadly I'm in the middle of pdfining a 600 page report, so it will be a bit before I can investigate further and see what is different.

Have you tried simply deleting the TOC and recreating it? I've had times where my TOC wasn't performing as expected and deleting and recreating it fixed it.
So in the TOC menu, under Modfiy, TOC 1, Modfy, can you take a screenshot? What is the color set to? Is it Automatic or Black?
