Hi there,
In my experience, Word gets very slow for documents with many pictures. Therefore, I was happy to find the option the option "Show picture placeholders" (in the Advanced Options), which replaces pictures with placeholders to speed up display rendering. However, it seems that this only works for pictures which are in-line with text. Floating pictures are NOT repaced by a placeholder even when the options is on. This obviously defeats the purpose. Does anybody know a fix for the problem? Thanks a lot! PS: It also doesn't work for pictures which are placed inside a text box, even if the text box is set to be in line with the text. |
