I have a document I'm doing a List of Tables, List of Figures and Table of contents. I have successfully used this format in several documents (I found this way of doing it as a short cut from this and several other websites).

Unfortunately, my list of Tables does not work in my current document. List of Figures and TOC work fine.

my List of tables command is

{TOC \h \z \t "TableText" \f }

All my Tables (about 30) have their Formatting set to (IE TABLE R1 Weight Computations) to Table Text.

I keep receiving

Error! No table of contents entries found.

As I said My List of figures using the same command only Caption works fine as does Table of Contents with Heading 1.

I have the TOC/LOF/LOT all searching several documents via the RD command (documents are too large for 1 single document and I want to keep the sections separate to facilitate easier updating for the Engineers).

Ok So Im lost, anyone have an Idea of what is wrong ?

Hi W7PSK,

The \f switch in your field code is for building a TOC via TC entries. Do you actually have the required TC fields?

The \t switch, followed by "TableText" requires you to have a Style named "TableText" and for that Style to be in use. Have you confirmed that both conditions are true?

The \z switch is only relevant if you're working in web layout view.

The Tables are built, this is just the title of the Table. Style is Set to Table Text with an ARIAL Font. It works in other documents and for the life of me I cannot figure out why it will not recognize anything in my document.

Hi W7PSK,
Compare
Quote:
{TOC \h \z \t "TableText" \f }
and
Quote:
Style is Set to Table Text

Hi W7PSK,

If you care to paste a cut-down copy of the problem doc with sufficient parts of a couple of tables to demonstrate the problem, I'll take a look at it for you.

Sorry I cannot do that totally. Proprietary info is involved.

My List of tables document has the following in it

{TOC \h \z \f "TableText27"}

{RD "INPUT%20SIGNALS.doc" \f}
PLUS all the other file names

In the documents themselves I have the Table, and over the table is the title in text, the text is Arial 10 with the style currently set to TableText27 + Centered. The text is not connected in any manner to the tables.

My Table of contents is fine as is my table of Figures ... TOC uses Heading 1 and TOF uses Caption.

as I said, Ive used this same set up in several other documents and it works fine. I for the life of me cannot figure out why it doesnt in this. Ive even deleted the TOT document and rebuild from scratch and it does the same thing.
Ive also tried the \t switch to no avail.
