Default Word 2010 background/image under text protection

I have 2 A4 sized images. I want to place 1st one as the backgroud image(or image under text) of the first page and 2nd one for the second page of the document. Also I need 2nd image appear on the 3rd page if document creator needs it to be more than 2 pages. Also I need to protect document so that people won’t be able to change the images and placement of the images. Is there a way to do this?

Hi video21,

Simple: use a 'different first page' page layout and insert different watermark images for the first and second pages of the document/template. Any watermark on the 2nd page will repeat on sbsequent pages. If your document/template starts off with only one page, you'll need to temporarily create a 2nd page (eg by Ctrl-Enter) to be able to add a watermark to that page.

Default it works but the color problem

That Works! Thanks a lot.

The only problem is that the first page image is washed out(opacity). I need to keep the colors of the both images. Any suggestion?

Hi video21,

You can change the watermark's contrast/bightness settings. Do note, though, that it'll look washed-out on screen anyway - that's by design.

hi macropod,

I'm kinda new to Word. Want to do something similar to video21 - have watermark on pgs 1 & 2, but make them different.

Can you explain what you meant by 'different first page' page layout? I can't get that in my Word (2010).

Thanks.
