Default Page #s Messing Up

Hi,

I am using both header and footer for my pages (Word 2007). I have only 30 pages in all but I noticed that some pages shows I have more than 30 pages. Can you please help me how to fix this?

Attached is a sample where I should only have 5 pages but header shows I have 49, 47 pages (not in order).

Please help!

Thanks,
Nanette

The sample that you show has section breaks within the 5 pages. Following each section break you have to check "continue from previous section" from the page format/page numbering menu. This will remove the misc page numbers and number the pages in a continuous range. If you did not have the section breaks as shown, there would not have been any misleading page numbers.

Additionally, you do not have to insert spaces to get the page numbers on the right-hand side...use the tools (tabs) provided.

Thanks JimP. I will follow your instructions.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, I have also another problem where pages on header don't print. What's happening is when I open the file and double clicked the Header, it shows all pages but when Print Preview it, when you go back it doesn't show the pages anymore and don't print them at all. It only do this for pages in Header - Section 1 and Header - Section 2 but the rest it prints the pages. Any ideas?

Thanks,
netchie
