Default Suddenly cannot view open documents...

Word 2010 opens in the app tray but does not show on screen (running XP); this happened after months of normal use...

Reinstalled Office but didn't help.

Other Office apps seem to work okay.

Thoughts?

Sounds like you may have moved Word's window off the desktop. After starting Word, try right-clicking on an unused portion of the Windows taskbar and selecting, say, 'cascade windows'.

Tried cascading the windows, but that's not it.

I'm going to try uninstalling and reinstalling MSO 2010.

thanks...

Your first post said you'd already done that and it didn't help.

Yes, I reloaded before without uninstalling. This time I uninstalled, reinstalled and still have the same behavior. I wonder whether there is a registry problem?

As a stopgap I have reinstalled Word 2007 so I can get my work done.

Thanks...
